Third Ear recordings are set to release segments of a lost jam session by Insynch, aka FatCat record store founder Lee Purkis; the material was recorded in a flat in South London circa 1991, a year before the release of Insynch’s seminal ‘Storm’ 12inch and stored on a TDK SA90 cassette! During the recording Lee Purkis is heard playing a Yamaha SH101, an SPX90, a Roland 909 drum machine rooted through various delays, while accompanied by Paul Chivers, aka Ramjack, who can be heard triggering percussion samples on an Ensoniq Mirage. You can listen to segments of the release via here.
